My wife and I spent the morning visiting Mustang Island State Park and decided to get lunch while we were in the area. We picked Padre Pizzeria and it was well worth the visit. The restaurant is not a high style dining establishment but it's very comfortable and welcoming. Upon sitting down, Robert brought a small plate of olive oil with spices and some focaccia for snacking. The olive oil was very good, well flavored with the spices and just a hint of harshness in the back of the throat. Actually, it was delicious with the bread and, later, with the pizza crust. We ordered a pizza to split for lunch. When it came out, it looked great - well covered with our vegetable choices and it had an absolutely wonderful crust. Thin enough for our tastes, the crust was crispy on the bottom and the edges of the pizza were puffy, doughy goodness just made for scooping up the olive oil dip. It was very tasty and a welcome treat after a morning on the beach. The staff was friendly, welcoming us and chatting when he had a chance between the incoming customers. We loved the food and will return when we're back in the Corpus Christi area.

Great pizza and great service, both times we have been here— even late in the evening. Meatlovers pizza had plenty of toppings, and toasted ravioli was excellent- a little kick to it. Thanks to Jennifer for taking care of us!

Phenomenal. Ordered here online from the parking lot of another closed Pizza joint, and headed over to wait for the pizza before we went to the beach. Expecting a long wait, we came in asking if we could order some waters to drink while we waited on the pizza. They got us the waters to go happily. Didn't charge and then the pizza was out a minute later. This was a very positive experience and we will be back often. I also believe it was very reasonably priced and was a pretty good slice of pie.

This was a delicious place to try. Whenever we are back in the area we will definitely stop by this place again. The crust, sauce and toppings were all so delicious! Everyone loved everything we ordered. We got cheese, all meat, chicken wing, a pesto, and an artichoke pizza. Each one was so good! The cheese pull was pretty crazy and so fun. They have pizza rolls that had a unique thin crust and tasted so good. The fried ravioli, and cheesy bread sticks were yummy too! They also gave us bread and an olive oil mix upon sitting down. I'm pretty sure there was 1 waitress for the entire restaurant that served our table of 9 and she was great considering how busy it was. I would definitely recommend if in the area! Very reasonably priced as well. All around great experience! It was so good that I forgot to get photos of the appetizers and cheese pizza.

My family is OBSESSED with this place! The pizza is amazing and we love that they start you off with bread and oil dip. Service is always great and courteous. Did I mention the pizza is amazing?! Definitely try it out if you're on the island.

Great pizza and at a great price for being on the Island. Service was great and kept up with the beer for me and the drinks for everyone else. Bathrooms were clean and nice. Definitely would go back.

12/2024: Still the best pizza for miles and miles around. I think they are about to be featured on "America's Best Restaurants" TV series. Their in-house red sauce is great, and they also have a white sauce option. Toppings are generous and piled high, with plenty of cheese. There's often a wait on busy nights so get there early or relax at the bar while you wait. 2022: Padre Pizzeria has the best pizza on North Padre Island. I've tried them all so you don't have to, but go ahead and test this for yourself. We don't even need to talk about the nationwide delivery chain that starts with a D. The Brooklyn joint has very thin, floppy, wet crust that is like a limp noodle. The New York place really skimps on the ingredients so it's not a good value. As with any pizza place, it's best when served hot and fresh out of the oven, so dine in and enjoy! The Calzones are a bit thin, would use more filling.
